The lodging at Turkey Hill Ranch Bible Camp is designed around the needs of the camp as it works to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ during the summer. Lodging is assigned by the director of each family camp based on family size and special needs. The goal is to allow the camp to accommodate as many campers as possible. All of the rooms at the camp have their own bathrooms.

Types of lodging

Bunkhouse
The Bunkhouse contains ten large rooms that are used to accommodate teens and young adults age 14 and older and very large families. Each room has bunk beds that will sleep up to 12 campers.
Cedar Lodge
Cedar Lodge contains ten rooms that have bunk beds to accomodate 6-8 campers.
Oak Lodge
Oak Lodge contains 24 rooms that have one bunk bed and one double bed, accomodating up to 4 campers.

The chapel, class rooms, and dining hall are air-conditioned. None of the rooms used for lodging are air-conditioned. Each building is equipped with large fans that pull air through each room. Campers may bring their own fans if they like. The camp does allow Ozark campers to bring their own small air-conditioner and place it in the window. A fee of $30 is charged to all campers who air-condition their room. This fee is charged to cover the cost of electricity.

Organized Activities

A sports director is designated for each camp. Various competitive activities are scheduled. These might include:

Weather

High temperatures in the 90s are common. Campers should plan on hot and humid weather when preparing for Ozark Family Camp. Cooling into the low 70s or high 60s in the evening is not uncommon. Bringing an umbrella for the occasional thunderstorm or rainy day is a good idea. The dining hall, chapel, and classrooms are air-conditioned and provide an escape on the particularly warm days. Those who chill easily are encouraged to bring a sweater or jacket to wear in the air conditioned areas as they may seem very cool when coming in from outdoors. Suntan lotion and hats are a good idea for those in the pool and for those on the canoe trips and tube floats who are unaccustomed to prolonged exposure to the sun.
